Well, you can't win 'em all! Last weekend, Napoli lost to Lazio by a 0-1 score at home and it marked their first home defeat in the Serie A season 22/23. After having gone unbeaten in 14, they started 2023 off with their first overall loss to Inter at the Meazza, Then, Napoli went on an 8 match win streak in the league which was snapped. The partenopei bag their 2nd consecutive 3-0 win on goals by birthday boy Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for his 9th (scored in the 22nd minute of match 22 on his 22nd birthday), Capocannoniere Victor Osimhen (17th) and Eljif Elmas' 6th of the season!

Raff N Raff are back to discuss the Round 19 2-0 win in the away leg of the Derby Della Campania. That means at the halfway mark, Napoli are winter champions with 50 points and are on pace to smash the Sarri record of 91 points AND could very well be gunning for the Serie A record 102 points season set by the 2014/15 Juventus led by Antonio Conte.
Raffa & The Bizz crown a Beast of the Match for Round 19 and we announce that on next week's episode, we will appoint a Beast of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter of this season.
Finally, the boys can't shy away from what's going on at Juventus. As most know, the Turin club have been docked 15 points and now sit a massive 27 points behind the partenopei. Juve fans across the globe are in a frenzy and are calling for Napoli's head as the prosecutors open the Osimhen investigation for a 3rd time with a 6 month extension.

Raff N Raff have a lot to cover here, as Napoli lose their first vs Inter last Wednesday, but rebound vs Sampdoria on Sunday. A late Roma come from behind draw in Milan sealed the title of Winter Champions for Napoli, and now we have Juventus on Friday in another 1v2 clash!

Raffa brings the Frenemies series to The Napoli Rant and brings in Vito Doria of Total Italian Football, to speak about the career of Gianluca Vialli, who sadly passed away earlier this morning, January 6, 2023 - the Day of the Epiphany. Vialli, while battling pancreatic cancer, assisted his friend and former Samp & Italy teammate, manager Roberto Mancini in winning Euro 2020. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vialli family today and this weekend!
Vialli was a Sampdoria, Juve and Chelsea legend and a trailblazer. Vito recalls his memories of Vialli, and then we chat briefly about our upcoming match at the Maradona this Sunday. Napoli are coming off their first defeat in the league while Samp notched their 2nd win in the campaign upon the return of Serie A after the World Cup. We also briefly chat about the inevitable Bereszynski/Zanoli sawp loan deal.
